Obituary

James M. Tardanico, 48, died Monday, August 17, 2009, in North Conway, NH, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was the son of Barbara L. (Norton) Tardanico of Stoughton and West Dennis and the late Guy A. Tardanico, D.Ed. Born in Milton, he was raised in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton Schools. Mr. Tardanico was a resident of East Taunton since 1991. He was the owner of JMT Excavation and Paving in Taunton for many years. He also worked as a subcontractor Aggregate Industries in Stoughton. He was a member of Teamsters Local 4. Mr. Tardanico was an championship Motocross Rider and also was a breeder of championship American Staffordshire Terriers. An excellent cook, in his free time, he enjoyed motorcycle riding and powerlifting.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings: Stephen T. Tardanico of Carver, Debora DiBiasie of Saugus, Jeffrey P. Tardanico of Stoughton, Helene M. Doherty of N. Easton, Paula A. Tully of E. Taunton, Christine M. Cicero of NY, Marie E. Kjelgaard of W. Bridgewater and Neil J. Tardanico of Middleboro. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, August 24 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-6 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. Donations in his name may be made to the MSPCA, 1300 West Elm St Ext., Brockton, MA 02302.
