ATTLEBORO – George A. Johnson, husband of Lorraine (Nunes) Johnson, died at the Grandview Center Nursing Home in Cumberland, RI, on Aug. 19, 2009.
He was 74.
Born and raised in N. Attleboro, he was the son of the late George and Florence (Stafford) Johnson.
Educated in N. Attleboro and Attleboro schools, he was later employed by Texas Instruments where he worked for many years.
Besides his wife, he leaves a brother, John Johnson of Dighton; 3 sisters, Carol Campbell of Warner - Roberts, GA, Barbara Howarth of Lakeland, FL, and Audrey Cote of Attleboro; a sister-in-law, Dolores Nunes of Taunton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late William Johnson and June Crook.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, on Saturday, Aug. 22nd at 8:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church, Taunton at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30, prior to the funeral mass.
