Mr. Joseph C. Marinucci 78, of Medford, formerly of Boston’s North End, died Tuesday at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Virginia (Martin) Marinucci with whom they shared more than 56 years of marriage. Mr. Marinucci was born in Sulmona Italy, the son of the late Luigi and Serafina (Marinucci) Marinucci. He attended schools in Italy and came to the United States at the age of 17. He and his parents settled in Boston’s North End. He has been a Medford resident since 1953. Mr. Marinucci worked in the Construction industry as a union Mason and a Plasterer. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and had made trips to both Italy and Australia as well as numerous other destinations. In earlier years he enjoyed bowling. He was a member of Club Italia in Malden and the Sul Gizio Club in Boston’s North End. Mr. Marinucci was an active member and communicant of St. Stephen’s Church where he devoted many hours as a volunteer and an usher.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Christina Kuehn of Ludlow, MA.And a grandson, Richard Kuehn of Ludlow. Friends may call Friday from 4 thru 8 at Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Stephen Church, Hanover St., Boston, Saturday at 10:00 am.
