Obituary

James H. "Bud" Scott, Jr., 82 of Wareham died August 17, 2009 unexpectedly at home.
He was the husband of the late Anna L. (Marsh) Scott and Marjorie C. (Converse) Scott.
Born in Westerly, RI, the son of the late James H. and Mary Elizabeth (Latham) Scott, he was raised in Mattapoisett, resided in Florida for 30 years and has lived in Wareham for the last 14 years.
Mr. Scott was formerly employed as a master electrician and journey man opening his own construction business. While living in Florida, he was employed as a manufacturing manager for the International Resistance Corp. and as an electricial contractor.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the 1st Engineering Combat Battalion in France and Germany as a bomb disposal expert. Mr. Scott was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, the European Theater of Opperational Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
Survivors include a son, James H. Scott, III, of California; 3 step-children, Robert Fisher, and his wife Mary, of Texas, Philip Fisher, and his wife Linda, of Massachusetts and Lauren Fisher of Marion; a daughter-in-law, Robin Scott of St. Petersburg, FL; a sister, Dorothea Tripp of Ruskin, FL; 3 grandchildren, Brynn, Bridgett and Jennifer; his sweet baboo Lindsay Marjorie Nosworthy; 6 step-grandchildren, Tim, Lindsay, Jon, Kacey, Francis and Olivia; 2 great-grandchildren, Tyler and Jacob.
He was the father of the late Brian M. Scott and the brother of the late Irene Hathaway, G. Douglas Scott and Carol Littlefield.
His Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 20th at 10 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd., (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett.
