Obituary

Harvey W. Tatelman 0f Chelsea, and formerly of Revere passed away on August 16, 2009. He was 78 years old. Born in Chelsea, MA he was a resident of Revere for many years. Harvey was educated in the Everett schools and Everett Vocational School. He also went on to graduate from the New England School of Art. Harvey was a commercial artist and a graphic artist.

Harvey was a veteran in the U.S. Army serving in Korea. He was a member of the Masons Ocean Lodge in Winthrop, and the Golden Fleece Lodge in Lynn. He also was past master of both Lodges and a 33rd degree Shriner. Harvey was a member of the Disabled American Vet’s (DAV), Jewish War Vet’s, and a volunteer for 25 years at the Soldiers Home in Chelsea.

He was the devoted father of Adrienne R. Tatelman, Susan D. Tatelman and her spouse Anne Steinman, Laurie-Ann Tatelman, Stephen L. Tatelman and his wife Heidi and former husband of Cynthia R. Tatelman. Harvey was the dear brother of Ida Hyman, Myer Tatelman, and the late Bessie Tatelman and Paul Tatelman.

A chapel service will be held at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave., Cary Sq., Chelsea on August 18th at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Everett. Memorial observance at the home of Cynthia Tatelman through Thursday August 20th. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Shriners Burns Hospital, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.
