Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Rosemary (Schettine) Tupman, 81, died Saturday, August 15, 2009 in the Addison Gilbert Hospital following an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Carmen and Carminella (Vinciguerra) Schettine.
Born in Schenectady, New York on August 14, 1928, she had been a resident of Gloucester for fifty years. She was a graduate of Scotia High School in New York. In Rosemary’s younger years she enjoyed traveling as an Army wife throughout the world. She later worked at Elliott Stevedoring as a secretary retiring in 1990.
She is survived by her daughters Mary Lou and her husband Gus Demetri of Gloucester, Suzan and her husband Dick Oliver of Gloucester, a son David Tupman and his wife Lisa of Gloucester, a daughter-in–law, Lesa Tupman of Concord, NH, nine grandchildren, Mathew, Stephen, and Garrett Tupman of Concord, NH, Michelle Noyes and David Demetri both of Gloucester, Mark Oliver of Old Orchard Beach, ME, Michael Oliver of Gloucester, Maggie May and David Tupman of Gloucester, three great grandchildren, Casey and Christopher Noyes of Gloucester, Gwendolyn Tupman of Concord, NH, brothers, David Schettine of Schenectady, NY, Paul and his wife Barbara Schettine of Patchoque, NY, a sister, Tommie and her husband Peter Carlson of Wilmington, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Billie Tupman in 2003. She is also survived by her pet cat, Pumpkin.
Her funeral services will be held on Tuesday in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
