LOWELL - Ruth A. (McQuaide) Zygadlo, 88, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Wednesday, August 12th at Willow Manor in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of Ferdinand "Mike" Zygadlo, to whom she was married for 45 years.
She was born in Lowell on July 14, 1921, and she was the daughter of the late James and Ada (Ogley) McQuaide. She received her education in Lowell schools.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Zygadlo was employed for many years as an office clerk by the former Giant Store in Lowell. Earlier in her career she was employed as a supervisor for the Internal Revenue Service in Lawrence.
In her free time she enjoyed knitting, counter cross stitching, and needlepoint.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister-in-law, Ruth McQuaide of PA; a nephew, A.C. "Chet" McQuaide Jr. and his wife Esther of Berkeley Lake, GA; and two grand nephews James McQuaide and Timothy McQuaide, both of Los Angeles, CA. She was also the sister of the late Arnold C. McQuaide.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Sunday, from 2 until 6 PM. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10 AM in the funeral home. Burial in Edson Cemetery in Lowell. For online condolences please use the icon below.
