Mrs. Carmela M. Veneziano, age 92, passed away Thursday, following a brief illness. Known as “Millie” to her friends and family, she was born in Boston the daughter of the late Beniamino and Consiglia Anna (Picardi) Palumbo. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles J. Veneziano. Millie was a Medford resident for the past fourteen years formerly of Boston´s North End. She worked for many years as a stitcher in Boston´s garment District and was a former officer for the I.L.G.W.U. Local 80. Millie enjoyed cooking and being with her family.
In addition to her late husband, Charles J. Veneziano, she is preceded in death by her son Charles C. Veneziano. She is survived by her sons, Angelo B. Veneziano and his wife Gloria, and Robert G. Veneziano all of Medford. She is further survived by her late son's companion, Joyce Santolla and her family of N. Miami, FL. She is the loving grandmother of John and his wife Debra, Richard and his wife Patricia, Charles and Domenic Veneziano, Cheryl DiMuro and her husband Jerry. She is also survived by five loving great grandchildren; Andrew, Christian, and Ariana Veneziano, Nicole and Jaclyn DiMuro. Sister of the late Caroline Gaeta, Ernest, Guido and Mike Palumbo. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, Monday, at 8 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church 600 Pleasant St. Malden, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
