Obituary

Weymouth- Lloyd C. White Age 93 Passed away at a local nursing home on Tuesday August 11, 2009, He was born in Waltham and was the son of the late Henry and Myrtle (Linkletter) White , he lived most of his 93 years in Weymouth he grew up at Gravel Hill at 770 Washington St. he had a lifelong love of animals and raised goats and chickens and worked at dairy farms in his youth, he also worked in woolin mills and abrasive factories. And for 30 Yrs he was a U.S. Postal worker retiring in 1984. He enjoyed working in his yard mowing lawns, raking leaves and caring for his apple, pear and peach trees. His son Don loved working with his dad and being outdoors with him. Lloyd lived a simple life lived well and unselfishly, He served his country during WW II U.S. Army with the Combat engineers 9th infantry division in Africa, Scily,Italy,France and Germany he was wounded and taken prisoner and held at stalag 4B Lloyd was a born again Christian and a dear kind loving husband and friend to his wife of 67 Years Agnes (Inglis) and a wonderful loving father to his 2 sons Richard L. White of Braintree and Donald L. White of Hanover also survived by his 9 beloved Grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Sat. August 15, 2009 at 10 A.M. at The First Baptist church of Weymouth 40 West St. Relatives and friends invited Visiting Hours at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S.Weymouth on Friday from 4-8 P.M.
