Obituary

WORCESTER-Edward M. Nally, Jr., 69, died Monday, August 10 after an illness.

He leaves his wife and best friend of many years, Arlene C. (Paris) Nally; two stepsons, Shawn M. and his wife, Tammi-Ann Bartley of Ashburnham and Jason J. Bartley and his fiancé, Jaime Rondeau of Worcester; his stepdaughter, Jeanna J. Bartley and her companion, Donald Grayson of Worcester; three grandchildren, who were the joy of his life, Kyle R. Smith, Jason Bartley, Jr. and Joleesa S. Grayson; three sisters, Patricia Manick and her husband, Edward of Wyandotte, MI, Mary Comptois and her husband, George of Worcester and Catherine Smeagle and her husband, William of Paxton. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was born in Worcester the son of Edward M. and Gertrude R. (Austin) Nally, Sr. and graduated from Commerce High School and New England School of Accounting. He was a Vietnam War Army veteran. Mr. Nally worked as a loan officer at various banks in Worcester until his retirement. He was a member of the English Social Club and was an avid pitch player and sports fan. He was loved by all that knew him and will be deeply missed.

A visiting hour will be held on Friday, August 14 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 35 Hamilton St. interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
