Michael Kirby of Everett and formerly of Peabody passed away on August 10. He was 59 years old. Born in Lawrence, MA he lived in Ohio and graduated from St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati before moving back to Massachusetts. He also attended the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. Michael was a Disc Jockey for WOKQ in Dover, NH.
Michael was a member of Congregation Tifereth Israel in Everett. He is the former President of the Board of Hillel at North Eastern University. He was a member of Congregation Sons of Israel in Peabody and an Associate life member of Hadassah.
He was the devoted father of Chaim and Joshua Kirby. The loving son of Robert and Natalie Kirby. Dear brother of Joyce Kirby. Michael is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A chapel service will be held at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave., Cary Sq., Chelsea on Friday August 14 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Everett. Memorial observance at the home of Adele Kirby on Friday August 14 until sundown and continuing Saturday August 15 at sundown through Thursday August 20 early morning.
