Obituary

PEABODY - Jean R. “Jennie” (Makowiecki) Webb, 81, formerly of Salem, Danvers and Beverly, died Monday, August 10, 2009 at the Pilgrim Rehabilitation Center, Peabody. She was the wife of the late John Webb, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage.

Born and raised in Salem, she was the youngest child of the late John and Caroline (Jordan) Makowiecki.

Jennie and her husband traveled extensively during his military career. After her late husband retired from 22 years of active duty, she resided in Danvers for 17 years before moving to Beverly where she lived until this year. She enjoyed being a member of the Polish Club in Danvers and she went on yearly cruises with her dear friends Mark and Nancy. She enjoyed attending functions at the American Legion post in Beverly and she will be remembered as a very “colorful” lady who lived life “her way.”

She is survived by a step-daughter, Jan Asikainen and her husband Al of Glastonbury, CT, her nieces and nephews, Shirley Yarosh and her husband Jerry , and Rene Novak, all of Salem, Diane Dabose, Carolyn Dabose, Andrea Daley and her husband Mike, all of Danvers, Paul Dabose and his wife Laura of Palm City, FL, Robert Makowiecki of Georgetown, and several cousins including Loretta Dick of Danvers, a cousin and a close person friend. She was deceased by her siblings, Sophie Dabose, Stella Michaud, Stacia Makowiecki, Mary Makowiecki, Stanley Mackey, Frank Makowiecki, Walter Makowiecki, Edward Makowiecki, Boley Makowiecki and Matthew “Dick” Makowiecki.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 9 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am at the St. John The Baptist Church, 28 St. Peter St., Salem. Visiting hours are Friday in the funeral home, from 4 to 7 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial is in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem.
