AUGUSTA, Ga. – Entered into rest Friday, August 7, 2009, at the Medical College of Georgia, Mrs. Margaret Alice Van Horn, 87, wife of 63 years to Mr. Judson T. Van Horn.
Mrs. Van Horn was a native of Lagro, Indiana but had lived in Augusta for the past 60 years. She retired as an administrative secretary at St. Joseph’s Hospital and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. As a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, she will forever be in our hearts.
Family members in addition to her husband include daughters: Marjorie Blackwell and husband Joel, Charlotte Van Horn, Mary Beth Lariscy and husband Stephen, and Patricia Pressley, all of Augusta, GA; Grandchildren: Meredith Winslow, Margaret McClanahan, Adrian Pressley, Angela and husband Donald Hortenstine, Dianne Lariscy, Michael and wife Erin Lariscy, and Christina Lariscy; and 7 Great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Monday, August 10, 2009 at 12:00 noon at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Fr. Gerald Ragan officiating. Pallbearers will be Stephen Lariscy, Michael Lariscy, Donald Hortenstine, and Jake Cochran.
Flowers welcome but memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
