Obituary

WORCESTER-Laura Wolosz, 83, of Worcester died peacefully, Monday, August 3rd in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home.

Her husband, Joseph Z. Wolosz died in 1995. She leaves her son, Mark J. Wolosz and his wife, Sandra of Miami, FL; two step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; her companion Michael B. Kotel of Worcester and Florida; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two sons, Joseph and Paul Wolosz; two brothers, Frank and Theodore Plona and a sister, Sophie Ledoux.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Alexander and Josephine (Prajs) Plona. Laura graduated from David Hale Fanning Girls Trade School in 1943. She worked for many years as a stitcher and was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and the Polish American Veteran’s Auxiliary. Laura volunteered at the Hope Lodge and Why Me Sherry‘s House and enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting and trips to Florida. She loved sitting on the veranda with her neighbors and watching the sunset on the beach in Cape Coral, Florida with Mike.

The funeral is Friday, August 7th with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street . Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Crotchet Mountain School for the Deaf, 1 Verney Drive, Greenfield, NH 03047 or to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, VNA Care Network & Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
