Zerephy “Zara” Nassif, 92, passed to eternal rest August 4, 2009 at The Courville at Manchester Health Care Facility with her loving niece Carol by her side.
She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 1, 1917 the daughter of Said and Julia (Jalele Malouf) Nassif. She was educated in the Boston Public Schools and resided in the Boston area until moving to Manchester in 1978.
She was a loving and caring daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Although she never had children of her own she enjoyed her time spent with her nieces and nephews. She dedicated her life to caring for others. She loved to play cards, Scrabble and to cook Arabic foods. She also enjoyed spending summers in Ogunquit, Maine with her family.
She is survived by three generations of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Sada Nassif Kfoury, Victoria Nassif, Richard Nassif and James Nassif.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at The Courville of Manchester for their kind and compassionate care.
Zara's Funeral Service was held at Saint George Antiochian Orthodox Church in West Roxbury on August 6, 2009. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Boston.
