New Bedford –Manuel Andrade age 91 years died Saturday August 1, 2009 at the Royal Fairhaven peacefully. He was the widower of Helen (McDonald) Andrade he was also the widower of Irene (Morris) Andrade. He was the father of Alan M. Andrade and his wife Nancy of New Bedford. He was the stepfather of Patricia Hebert and her husband Paul of New Bedford. Mr. Andrade is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Andrade was the son of Manuel and Mary (Costa) Andrade. He was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of his life. He was a meat cutter for Gaspar’s Linguica Company until his retirement. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He also belonged to Summit Grove of Dartmouth.
Mr. Andrade’s Services were private, held August 3, 2009 according with his wishes. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
