TAUNTON – Robert B. “Boopie” Texeira, Jr., the son of Robert B. and Phyllis (Gomes) Texeira, died at Morton Hospital on July 31, 2009.
He was 44.
Born, raised, and educated in Taunton, he was a 1982 graduate of Taunton High School.
A warehouse worker employed by Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture for several years, Robert retired 2 years ago after becoming disabled.
In addition to his parents of Taunton, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Harriette Texeira of Taunton; 3 brothers, Brad Monroe and Kenneth Andrade, both of Taunton, and Michael Paulette of New Bedford; 5 sisters, Denise Craw of Methuen, and Robin Texeira, Rochelle Rodriguez, Rene Fernandes and Rosalyn Texeira, all of Taunton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Rhonda Texeira.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, on Friday, Aug. 7th at 11 a.m. followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Aug. 6th from 5 to 8 p.m.
