Anthony Fitzpatrick, 87, passed away at the Life Care Nursing Center in Stoneham on July 31st, 2009. He was born in Ballydavis North, Ireland on May 31st, 1922 to his parents Edward and Sarah (Dunne) Fitzpatrick. Anthony has been a resident of Medford for the past 50 years. He was formerly a resident of Somerville and Ballydavis, Ireland. For many years he worked as a Maintenance Man for the Medford Housing Authority. He was also in charge of maintenance at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Medford for several years. Anthony is a life member of the Irish American Association in Malden and was a parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Medford. He is survived by his wife, Mary P. (Finnegan) Fitzpatrick of Medford; by his children, Sean Fitzpatick and his wife Therese of Trabuco Canyon, CA, Maureen McCarthy and her husband Kevin of Medford and Michael Fitzpatrick and his wife Teresa of North Reading; by his grandchildren Alycia, Michael, Brendan, Sinead, Kristen, Sarah, Colleen and Erin; and by his brother Daniel Fitzpatrick of Ballydavis, Ireland. Anthony was the brother-in-law of Larry Finnegan and his wife Gert of New Hampshire, Kathleen Costa and her husband Frank of Quincy, Noreen Layman and her husband Elmer of Brighton and Theresa Finnegan of Dorchester and her late husband Pat Finnegan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Wednesday August 5th at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday August 4th from 4-8 PM.
