GLOUCESTER: Constance (Eldred) King, 89, formerly of Chebacco Terrace, Essex, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 in the Seacoast Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Robert P. King, who died in February. They had shared sixty-three years of marriage.
Born in Salem on July 24, 2009 she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Ann (Tingley) Eldred.
Mrs. King was employed as a registered nurse, having trained at the Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester, and then practicing as a pediatric nurse at Salem Hospital. Later, she was employed as the Administrator of the former Hancock House Nursing Home in Beverly
She is survived by her son, Robert P. King, Jr. and his wife, Margaret (Bobalek) King of East Derry, NH, three grandchildren, Alice King of East Derry, NH, Michael King of Livermore, CA and Laura Miles of Costa Mesa, CA. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Nancy King.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Central Cemetery, Beverly at a later date to be announced. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Robert P. King, Jr., P.O. Box 9, East Derry, NH 03041.
