Obituary

William H. Troy, Jr., 90, of Salem, NH died peacefully Thurs. July 30th at his home surrounded by his family.

Bill was born and educated in Lawrence, MA graduating from Lawrence High School.
He had lived in Salem for 63 years. Bill served in the US Army Air Force during WW II. He had worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator with Merrimack Paving in Groveland, MA.

Bill was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader for Troop 406 in Salem, NH. He played the violin with the Arthur Fielder band and performed minstrel shows for Pack 160. Bill was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Church where he was a member of the church council. He enjoyed time spent with his wife, family and extended family at the summer house in Maine on Lake Moxie. Bill was a hard working man who’s Irish heritage and close family were a source of tremendous pride.

Winifred ”Winnie” and her husband Scott Tilton of Salem, NH
Dorothy “Dottie” and her husband Thomas DeNaro of Derry, NH
Patricia “Tricia” and her husband Barry Pietrantonio of Salem, NH

Brother: John Troy of Atkinson, NH

26 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews

Calling Hours are Sun. Aug 2nd from 2-6 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Mon. Aug. 3rd at 10:30 AM at Mary Queen of Peace Church, Salem. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence, MA.
