Martinez, GA – Mrs. Ifa A. Wardell, 87, wife of the late Robert D. Wardell, entered into rest on Tuesday July 28, 2009 at her residence under the wonderful care of Heartland Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. chapel with Rev. Charles Beasley officiating. Interment will be private at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Wardell was born in East Texas and lived in Houston, TX for over 40 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Evans Presbyterian Church. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed very dearly.
Survivors include one daughter; Nila Foss and husband Robert of Martinez, two grandchildren; Montana Foss and Luke Foss both of Martinez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wardell was preceded in death by her son the late Robert E. Wardell, and two sisters; the late Oniece Stewart and the late Nila Boatner.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday, July 31, 2009.
