Obituary

WORCESTER___Joseph Stanley Kozarnowicz, 77, of 65 Sagamore Road, died Friday August 1 in his home.

He leaves his wife of 43 years, Estelle C. (Anusauskas) Kozarnowicz; three sisters, Jane E. Kozarnowicz, Helen H. Kozarnowicz and Laura Dymek all of Worcester and nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Stanley J. Kozarnowicz of Worcester. He was born in Worcester, son of Felix and Jadwiga (Rucki) Kozarnowicz and had lived here all his life.

Mr. Kozarnowicz was a distribution clerk 37 years for the U.S. Postal Service and retired in 2000. Before then he worked 15 years for U.S. Envelope Company and prior to that he worked for Norton Company.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.Mr. Kozarnowicz was graduated from Commerce High School and attended Colby College.He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

The funeral will be held on Monday August 4 from Henry - Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward St.,with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday August 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
