Obituary

Solomon Feingold of Chelsea passed away on July 26, 2009. He was 95 years old. Born in Chelsea, MA he was a life long resident of Chelsea and was educated in the Chelsea schools. Solomon graduated from Chelsea High School, class of 1931. Prior to retirement he was an accountant for the Dept. of the Navy.

Solomon was a Past Master of Canaan Lodge, Mt. Scopus Lodge, and the Hammett Lodge. He was a member of Temple Emmanuel and the Brotherhood. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and the Blinded Veterans Association, and the 42nd Infantry Veterans Association. Solomon was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army in WWII. Solomon received 3 Battle Stars and a Bronze Star.

He was the loving son of the late Samuel and Annie Feingold. Dear brother of the late Madeline Backman, Barbara Brown, William, Edward, and Richard Reynolds. Solomon is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Temple Sinai Cemetery, Buxton Rd., Danvers on Friday, July 31 at 11:00 AM. Donations in his memory may be made to the Blinded Veterans Association, 477 H Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001-2694.
