Mrs. Lucille West

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Mrs. Lucille West, 90, was called home to be with the Lord on July 25, 2009. Mrs. West was born in Jackson County, Jefferson, GA in 1918 and had made Augusta her home for the last 60 years. She was Methodist and retired as Payroll Master of Riverside Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband the late Thomas Callwell West. She enjoyed talking about her Savior and the good things concerning the Kingdom of God. Being confined to her bed for 2 months, she was patient, and knowing her condition, realized that the end must soon come; but was submissive to God’s will and accepted death as a transportation from this world to Heaven.
Mrs. West leaves behind a daughter: Barbara Dean Varnum of Augusta, GA; a son, Thomas Cason West; three grandchildren: Brett S. Crampton of Augusta, GA, Casey E. West and John Thomas West of Lynchburg, VA; and her beloved dog, Bo Jack.
Private services will be held at Westover Memorial Park. There will be no planned visitation.
