James `Rat` Oliver Vaughan, 48, Clarksville, died Thursday, July 23, 2009, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Sunday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born December 2, 1960 at Fort Campbell, KY son of the late Franklin Lee Richard Vaughan, Sr and Lillian V. Thames Vaughan. Mr. Vaughan was a heavy equipment operator with Morgan Contractors Inc. Survivors include a brother, Franklin Rick Vaughan, Jr (Diana), Clarksville; and three sisters, Glenda L Martinez, Clarksville; Mary S, Lohaus, Watertown, Wisconsin; and Janet R. Greene, Memphis, TN.
