Larry Paul Wilson, 61, of Summerville, husband of Shelley A. Wilson, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Trident Medical Center.
Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 12 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, 303 S. Main Street, Summerville. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. There will be a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to hour of service.
Mr. Wilson was born April 11, 1948 in El Paso, TX, son of the late Jay P. Wilson and Mary L. Stone Wilson. Mr. Wilson retired from the United States Navy. After serving in the military he worked for ECC in Cape Cod, Massachusetts as an EOD Safety Officer.

Survivors, including his wife Shelley, are one son; Jay P. Wilson, II (Terri) of Eglin AFB, FL, one daughter; Fay K. Youmans (Eric) of Summerville, two grandsons; Zachary Wilson and Jay P. Wilson, III, two granddaughters; Erika Youmans and Mikayla Youmans, two brothers; Michael Wilson (Sharon) of Anderson, SC and Gerald Wilson (Nina) of San Jose, CA and one sister; Patricia Ray (DeWayne) of Marianna, FL.
