WORCESTER-Daniel M. Johnson, 57, of Worcester, died Monday, July 20th in UMass Memorial Healthcare after a long illness. He leaves two sisters, Marie F. Johnson and Katherine A. Lawton, both of Worcester; four nieces; three grandnephews; and many cousins. Three brothers, PFC Richard C. Johnson, Francis J. Johnson, Jr. and Douglas E. Johnson predeceased him.
Mr. Johnson was born in Worcester, the son of Francis J. and Teresa M. (Gallagher) Johnson. He was a graduate of South High School. Mr. Johnson was employed by several different companies in Worcester. He was a former member of St. Peter’s Church. Mr. Johnson was an U.S. Navy veteran during the Vietnam Era serving on the U.S.S. Joseph P. Kennedy. He enjoyed cooking and making homemade bread utilizing his mother’s recipe.
The funeral is Thursday, July 23rd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Thursday morning from 8:30 until 9:30 in the funeral home.
