Obituary

FRANKLIN—Alberta M. (Cataldo) Oxford 79, a lifelong Franklin resident, died Wednesday July 15, 2009 at Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of Frederick D. Oxford.
Born in Milford, July 11, 1930 the daughter of the late William C. and Florence L. (Zunino) Cataldo, she was raised and educated in Franklin and is a 1948 graduate of Franklin High School.
For many years until retiring, Mrs. Oxford worked as a cafeteria worker for Franklin Public Schools.
She was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary’s Church, and enjoyed her grandchildren, cooking, and was known as a good neighbor to all. She was also an avid Red Sox fan.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 54 years are three sons, Paul F. Oxford and his wife Elena of Medfield, William B. Oxford and his wife Lynne of Blackstone, David A. Oxford and his wife Lisa of Franklin, a daughter Linda A. Staffiere and her husband Steven of Canton, five grandchildren, Bethany, Clinton, and Brian Oxford, Michael & Marissa Staffiere.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday July 20th, at 10:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. (www.franklinfuneral.com) with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. at 11AM.
Interment will follow in the family lot in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours are Sunday July 19th, from 2-6PM.
