Obituary

WORCESTER-Lillian G. (Martin) Triggs, 82 formerly of 15 Eureka Terrace died Thursday, January 10th in the Hospice Residence. Her husband of 48 years Robert X. Triggs died in 1991. She leaves her son Robert X. Triggs of Worcester; 3 daughters Ann E. Triggs of Lynn, Kathy M. Dunn of Charlton, and Maureen M. Carlomagno of Auburn; 7 grandchildren. A brother John J. Martin predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester the daughter of John J. and Annie (Trainor) Martin and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of South High School and The University of Massachusetts. Mrs. Triggs worked as a customer service representative with New England Telephone Company for 17 years, she retired in 1985. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and the Telephone Pioneers of America. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading.

The funeral will be held Saturday, January 12th from O’Connor Brothers Funeral, 592 Park Avenue with a mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, January 11th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Residence, 10 Judith Road, Worcester, MA 01602 or to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
