David Earl Ingram 61 years, of Brockton died July 10, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was the loving husband of 40 years to Clementine (Outlar) Ingram. David was born in Ripley, Tennessee a son of the late Lester Yanders and Minnie Ingram. He was raised in Gary, Indiana and had been a resident of Brockton for the past 21 years.
David served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. When moving to Boston he attended Northeastern University. He retired as an engineer tech from Polaroid after a 25 year career. David was an avid Boston sports fan, loved fishing, roller skating, dancing and singing. Most importantly he enjoyed time spent with his family.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Derrick and his wife Michelle of Providence, RI; Denise and her husband Sam of Brockton, Donald of Japan, Alvin and his wife Nikki of Hudson, MA; Emmitt Sr. of Brockton, Pharoah and his wife Nadia of Plymouth, Shannon of Texas and Rodney and his wife Tammy of Charlotte, NC; as well as 25 cherished grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; his siblings Jimmy Lee of Indianapolis, IN, Barbara Jean, Patricia, Mona, Pearl and her husband Kenneth, Translee and his wife Irene all of Gary, IN; Carl of Dallas Texas, Robert and his wife Lavonne of Milwaukee, WI and the late Donna, Juanita, Brenda, Lester Jr. and Sylvester. He is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and very close friends Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Lewis and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Honeycutt.
Visitation will be held Wednesday July 22 in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) 10-11 am followed by his Funeral Service at 11 am. Burial will follow in Mass National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30 pm.
