Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Richard A. “Dickie” Tebo, 58, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 in the Addison Gilbert Hospital following an extended illness.
Born in Gloucester on January 12, 1951, he was the son of Marjorie (Bell) Tebo of Gloucester and the late Robert W. Tebo. He was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and a graduate of Gloucester High School class of 1969.
Dickie was employed as an oil burner and air conditioner technician for many years at the Welch & Lamson Oil Company in Hamilton. He had also once worked as an auto mechanic at the former Barron Chevrolet. He had a passion for cars and car racing, especially drag racing with Dennis Martin and his crew.
In addition to his mother, Marjorie, he is survived by two daughters, Melanie L. Tebo and her companion, Manny Robles of Gloucester and Stacie M. Tebo of Rockport, a granddaughter, Mikayla Robles of Gloucester, a brother, Robert Tebo of Manassas, VA and a longtime companion, Susan Greenwood of Gloucester. He was also predeceased by his brother, Stephen Tebo and a sister-in-law, Izzie Tebo.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester at 4 p.m. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 2 – 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Lung Assoc. of MA, 460 Totten Pond Rd., Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451-1991.
