Khoury, Philip A., of Marshfield, July l2, at the age of 69. Beloved husband of 47 years of Alicia M. (Domegan) Khoury. Son of the late Adeeb Khoury and Mary (Shaker) Khoury. Dear father of James P. Khoury, Kathleen Khoury Corwin and the late Mary Beth Khoury. Loving grandfather(Jido) of Nichole Corwin all of Marshfield. Brother of the late Mitchell Khoury, Emily (Khoury) Humphrey and her late husband Ross, the late Elizabeth (Khoury) Quinn. Brother of William Khoury,and Richard Khoury. Brother in law of Richard Quinn all of Marshfield. Also survived by nieces Patricia MacKinnon and her husband Brian, Karyn Quinn, Susan Quinn and great niece Rebecca MacKinnon all of Marshfield. Philip was born and raised in the South End of Boston. He was a summer resident of Brant Rock as a young boy and became a permanent resident as a teen. Philip was scouted as a teen to play for the Boston Red Sox. He worked at Toabe’s Hardware in Marshfield, owned and operated Khoury’s Hardware in Library Plaza for several years, and most recently retired from Goodrich Lumber in Duxbury and Kingston. He adored his pride and joy, granddaughter Nichole, whom she called “Jido”. He loved attending her dance recitals and never missed any for the past l5 years. Philip played softball on Sundays for Hubbard’s Cupboard, an avid golfer, played hockey with some neighbors and went fishing with them. He was an avid sports fan. He also served in the National Guard during the Cuban Crises. Philip will be extremely missed.
Funeral service will be at the MacDonald Funeral Home, l755 Ocean St.,rte. l39, Marshfield, Thursday, July l6 at 11 a.m.
Visiting hours on Wednesday , July l5 from 5 to 8 p.m.
