Obituary

WORCESTER: Franciszek Kulma 87 of 28 Woodford Street died July 24 in his home.

He is survived by his wife of fifty six years, Czeslawa (Piascik) Kulma, four sons Harry Kulma of Webster, Jan Kulma of Worcester, Wladyslaw Kulma of Auburn and Casimir Kulma of Millbury. Another son Wieslaw Kulma of Poland died in 2001. He also leaves a daughter Maria Kowalski of Ludlow Mass. Three sisters Maria Galazka, Albina Galik and Czeslawa Bambot all in Poland. A brother Czeslaw Kulma in Poland died in 1999. Mr. Kulma also leaves fifteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.He was born in Czarna Poland was educated there and later served in The Polish Army during World War II. During World War II, Mr. Kulma was a prisoner of war and was held in a German Working Concentration Camp. He came to the United States in 1972 and worked for over ten years as a Machine Operator at Wachusett Wire Co. before retiring in 1981.

Mr. Kulma was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, and the Polish Army Veterans. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid reader and beekeeper.

The funeral will be held on Monday July 28th from The Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home (www.worcesterfuneral.com) 33 Ward Street with a Mass at 10am in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church 34 Ward Street, burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery Worcester.Calling hours at the funeral home are from 4 to 6pm Sunday July 27th.The family requests that flowers be omitted and that donations be made in his memory to The Memorial Fund of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church 34 Ward Street Worcester Mass. 01610.
