Mrs. Mary (Economou) Koumides, 77, passed away Saturday July 11th at her home.
Mary was born December 4, 1931 in Lowell, Massachusetts a daughter of the late Efthemios and Panagiota (Laganas) Economou.
She was raised and educated in Lowell, graduating from Lowell High School and later from Boston University where she earned her degree in Liberal Arts along with her teaching certification.
A teacher in the Dracut School system for years, Mary touched the lives of many and continued to do so as a business owner later in life.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Martha Koumides, many family members, friends, and past business associates. Family and friends attended a service of remembrance on Wednesday July 15th in the Westlawn Cemetery.
