Kenneth Edwin Wood, Sr, 85, Clarksville, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at St Thomas Hospital, Nashville, TN. The funeral will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel. Entombment will be in Resthaven Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be held at Neal-Tarpley Chapel at 7 p.m. on Friday. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born September 28, 1923 in Knoxville, TN son of the late James Alvin Wood and Nora Jane McDaniel Wood. He was a US Army Veteran and was a member of Queen City Masonic Lodge #761. He was retired from Bellsouth. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Wood, son, Kenneth Edwin Wood, Jr, Clarksville; daughter, Terry Soyk (Ray), Athens, AL; and five grandchildren.
