WORCESTER__ Gladys A. (Peterson) Johnson, 87, of Worcester died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 in Saint Francis Home, 101 Plantation St. Her husband, William C.G. Johnson died in 1980.
She leaves a son, Carl R. "Bobby" Johnson and his wife Margaret P. of Worcester; a daughter, Anna L Graham of Worthington; five grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant twin sister, a son, Richard A. Johnson, a brother, Harry Peterson and a son-in-law, Richard A. Graham. She was born in Holden, a daughter of Arthur and Ada (Muir) Peterson.
Mrs. Johnson worked as a cook for the Sisters of Mercy at their mother house for 18 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Worcester. She was also a den mother for Pack 93 of the Mohegan Council Cub Scouts for many years.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2009 in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
