Obituary

Anthony J. Firicano, age 72 of Medford, died Tuesday in the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was the husband of Lena (Guerriero) Firicano with whom he shared more than 51 years of marriage. Mr. Firicano was born in Boston, the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Ciulla) Firicano. A graduate of Medford Vocational High School, class of 1954 he remained a lifelong resident of Medford. He was a Firefighter for many years in Medford. He was first appointed to the Department on May 23, 1971 and served for over 28 ½ years, serving with Engine Two and Engine Six. He retired from the department in December of 1999. He was also a licensed Barber. Mr. Firicano enjoyed playing games of chance with trips to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun and Twin River Casinos. He was a golfer and enjoyed watching it on television. In addition to his wife, he leaves two daughters: Laura DeBisz and her husband Frank of Medford, Missy Hull and her husband Ron of FL. a son: Bob Firicano and his wife Pat of NC. Father of the late Walter Firicano. Grandfather of Michael & Mark DeBisz, Samantha & Kyle Hull. Brother of Josephine Molinaro and her husband Joseph of Revere, Marie Amorino and her husband Syl of NH., Frank Firicano and his wife Rose of CA. He will be sadly missed by his “Grand Dogs” Barkley, Duke & Daisy.
Friends may call on Friday from 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham on Saturday 10 AM. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
