Obituary

BEVERLY: Roger H. Wilson, 74, formerly of Balch Street, died Friday, July 3, 2009 in the Essex Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Beverly following an extended illness.
Born in Beverly on September 7, 1934, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Evelyn P. (Hall) Wilson. He had resided in Beverly most of his life.
Roger was employed as a packer at the B&W Press in Georgetown for many years before his retirement. He also enjoyed dancing and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his son, Frank C. Wilson, three sisters, Evelyn Cabral, Oveada and her husband, Richard Lewis and Barbara Wilson all of Beverly, a brother, Charles Wilson of Exeter, NH and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by five sisters, Gertrude Riddle, Ethel Boyd, Laura Harold, Sandra Gordy and Annie Martin.
His funeral service will be held on Friday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot Street, Beverly at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday evening from 5 – 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Assoc., 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210. Interment will be in the North Beverly Cemetery.
