Obituary

Charles P. Kalavetinos, 85 years old, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Monday June 22 at his home in Lowell.
Born on March 4, 1924, he was a son of the late Panpeles and Panagiota (Karajanes) Kalavetinos and received his education in the Lowell schools.
During World War II, Mr. Kalavetinos served his country in the United States Army with the rank of Corporal. He received a Purple Heart, the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, the Victory Medal, the Distinguished Unit Badge and the American Theater Campaign Ribbon while serving. Mr. Kalavetinos was a self-employed carpenter.
He is survived by a daughter, Pamela Kalavetinos of Nashua, NH; a sister, Mary Pitsios of Lowell and a dear friend, Dick Brucato of Tewksbury.
KALAVETINOS- All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 NESMITH ST. LOWELL, MA.
