Fairhaven- Mary Lucy Pinto age 90 years died peacefully Saturday July 4th at Alden Court Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the wife of the late Victor A. Pinto. She was the Step-mother of Cesarina Zita Pinto-Soares of Acushnet and Jane O’Meara of New Bedford. Mary was the sister of Victor Oliveira of Fairhaven and the late John Oliveira, Luis Oliviera, Mary Olive Silva and Isabel Alves. Mrs. Pinto is also survived by 5 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Pinto was the daughter of the late Victorino M. and Maria E. (Rezendes) Oliveira. Mary was born in New Bedford and was a life long resident. She was a clerk at Lava’s A&W Root Beer in Fairhaven until her retirement.
Mrs. Pinto’s Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. on Monday at 9:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 5-8 P.M.
