KNOOP, BEATRICE, 72, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009.
She retired from Sts. Mary & Elizabeth and was a member of St. Polycarp Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiliam C. Knoop Jr.; grandson; Christopher Knoop; and great-grandchild, Brody Whitney.
She is survived by her children, Brian Knoop (Teresa), Karen Saling (Mitch), Kathy Wilcox (Todd) and Brad Knoop (Julie); grandchildren, Danielle (Scott), Kara, Lauren, Hayley, Tyler, Connor, Cooper and Colin; brother, Fr. James J. Lichtefeld; sisters, Katie Duvall, Pat Sipes and JoAnn Livers.
Bea was blessed to be raised in a home with loving parents and siblings who gave her the foundation to become a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She cherished and loved her family with all her heart, frequently bestowing the phrase "God love you" on us all. She will forever remain a part of our hearts and lives. God love you, Granny Bea.
Her service will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Peter the Apostle (St. Polycarp Campus), 7718 Columbine Dr., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be Thursday noon-8 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
