Helen Almonte, 89, of Clover Court, Cumberland, a homemaker, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Golden Crest Nursing Home. She was the widow of Guilio Almonte.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Angelina (Caccione) Abbruzzese. She had been a resident of North Providence for many years.
She is survived by her granddaughters, Stephanie DeRensis and Stacy Kerkache, her great grandchildren, Sarah Beth and Zayd, a sister, Molly Maroni and her husband Chet and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Susan Almonte and sister of the late Mary Barbaria, Ralph, and David Abbruzzese, Judy Mastrostefano and Rita Tramonti.
Her funeral and visitation is private.
