Anita Edna (Landreville) Firth, 83, of Hudson, passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, June 30th at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Westboro. She was surrounded by her loving family. Her husband, Joseph Raymond Firth predeceased her in 1996. She is survived by her children; Jeannette Hoessel and her husband Andre of Lancaster, Raymond Firth, husband of the late Caren Firth of Hudson, Joanne Neuffer and her husband Michael of Hudson, William Firth and his wife Jean of Westboro and Patricia Albertini and her husband Joseph of Sarasota, FL.
Anita was born in New Bedford on April 7, 1926 where she attended school. As a longtime Hudson resident, Anita was a homemaker and later worked in the JFK school cafeteria and also Hudson Cleaners. She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church in Hudson and often made hats for the church.
She especially loved family gatherings, playing cards, sewing, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren Jana, Malaina, Peter, Jason, Jeremy, Tyler, Sara, Ryan, Danielle, Joseph and Katelyn and her six Great Grandchildren.
Anita was the daughter of the late Albini and Dorothy (Comeau) Landreville. She is also survived by her brother, Raymond Landreville of Dartmouth; her two sisters, Lucille Melanson and her husband Gilbert of New Smyrna, FL and Sister Jeannette Landreville, SHC, of Manchester, NH. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Leo and Maurice Landreville and her sister, Sister Gertrude Landreville, SHC.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 3rd at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will take place on Monday, July 6th in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 2nd, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
