Shirley A. (Solan) Tedesco, 62, of Englewood, FL died unexpectedly, Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Englewood Hospital. She was a daughter Sophie (Macko) Solan and the late Richard Solan
Born in Dorchester on July 31, 1946, Mrs. Tedesco grew up in Millis and graduated from Millis High School in 1964. She was a resident of Englewood for the past 4 years and formerly resided in Fort Myers, FL for 18 years.
In 1967, Mrs. Tedesco graduated for the St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in Boston. She was a registered nurse at the Englewood Healthcare and Rehab. Center for the past 4 years and had formerly worked in the E.R. at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers.
Besides her mother, she is survived by; a sister, Lynda Goldsmith and her husband, Ronald of South Easton and two nieces, Elizabeth DaCosta Neto, her husband, Uriel and their daughter, Sophie of West Palm Beach, FL and Wendy Hammond and her husband, Richard of Harwich.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial Mass on Saturday, July 11 at St. Joseph’s Church, 151 Village St. in Medway at 10 a.m.
Burial will place privately at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Medway.
Arrangements are under the care of the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway.
