Genevieve (Eder) Arnholt, 87 years, of Brockton, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at West Acres Nursing Home after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Charles Arnholt. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Clara (Hellman) Eder. She had been a resident of Brockton for the past 25 years and previously lived in Rockaway Beach, NY. Genevieve was devoted to her home and family, loved reading a book a day and playing cards.
She is survived by her children Herman Arnholt and Joel Greenhouse of Brooklyn Heights, John Arnholt of Glenglove, New York, Louise O’Connor-Mendes and her husband Alberto of Brockton and Nancy Connelly of Fall River; five grandchildren Angelina, Meagan Connelly, Hanna O’Connor, Robert O’Connor and Gerard O’Connor Jr. and one great granddaughter Sabrina O’Connor of Brockton. Genevieve is also survived by Kathy Judge and her husband Jack; Kathy came to live with the Arnholt family at an early age and was as important as another daughter.
