Obituary

Edward J. Pasquarello, age 77, of Woburn formerly of Somerville passed away June 28th at the Winchester Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Mary D. (Calautti) and together they shared 56 years of marriage. Born in Somerville he was the son of the late Michael J. and Mary F. (Squizzero) Pasquariello.

Mr. Pasquarello graduated from Boston College High School in 1949. He enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in 1951 and honorably served during the Korean War, completing his active duty in 1953. Following his time in the service, Mr. Pasquarello became a hair stylist in 1959 and owned and operated the Michael Edwards Beauty Salon of Arlington until 1984 and is currently the owner and operator of the Ripples Salon also in Arlington, which he opened in 1981. Mr. Pasquarello was a very patriotic person, he loved this country and also loved the City of Woburn where he was proud to serve as an Alderman for ward 7 and also serve on the Woburn Planning Board. He loved to write stories and letters to the editor, that were regularly published in the Woburn Daily Times. He was an avid sports fan, loved to ski and listen to jazz music; but most of all he loved dancing with his wife and together they stole the show on the dance floor at many parties and family functions. Mr. Pasquarello was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus and the Sons of Italy.

In addition to his beloved wife, Mr. Pasquarello is survived by his children, Janet Sarro and her husband Tommy, Susan Wilson and her husband Kenne, all of Medford, Diana Murphy and her husband Garry of Marblehead, and Edward Pasquarello of San Francisco, CA. He was the loving grandfather of Jenaya Roderick and Dario Wilson and loving great grandfather of Miles Roderick. He is further survived by his brother, Robert Pasquariello and his wife Roseann, of Arlington.

His funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Thursday, July 2nd, at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home will be held, Wednesday from 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with military honors and burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. It Has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Edward's memory to St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd. Woburn, MA 01801.
