Kingston – Lillian E. (Farrell) Andrews 99, formerly a longtime resident of Whitman, died Sunday June 28 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late George T. Andrews.
Born in Boston and raised in Charlestown she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth V. (Hogan) Farrell, and attended Charlestown schools.
Lillian was an active member of the Whitman community for over 40 years before her move to Wingate at Silverlake five years ago.
She was a member of the Whitman Council of Aging and enjoyed bingo, knitting, crocheting, dancing and swimming.
She is survived by her children George T. Andrews Jr. of Plymouth, John C. Andrews of Las Vegas, NV and Mary E. Thorndike of Rockland. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman.
