Claire A. Antaya 80, of 547 Clinton St., formerly of Slatersville, died Saturday in Oakland Grove Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Leo R. Antaya. Mrs. Antaya was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Oriance and Rose Alba (Bastien) Godfroy. She was a machine operator for Polytop Corp. for over twenty years retiring ten years ago.
She is survived by two sons, Leo M. Antaya of Providence, and Gerard M. Antaya of Raymond, NH, three grandchildren, Denis Antaya, Colleen Van Onselen, and Cheryl Antaya, and two great grandchildren Michael, and Sean. She also leaves two brothers Leonard and Oriance Godfroy, both of Woonsocket, and two sisters Cecile Normand, and Irene Thibeault both of Lowell, MA. She was also the sister of the late Normand Godfroy, Julienne Laliberte, Marie Garneau, and Therese Pelypec.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM From the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, in St. John's Church in Slatersville. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-7 Pm.
