FILLERS, DOROTHY PENNINGTON
Dorothy Pennington Fillers, 89, of Johns Island, widow of Edgar D. Fillers, died Sunday, June 28, 2009 at her residence.
Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 11 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6 to 8 o’clock.
Mrs. Fillers was born November 23, 1919, in Fayetteville, West Virginia, daughter of the late William Pennington and Nannie Goodman Pennington. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include one daughter; Shirley Lambert and her husband Allen of Johns Island, thirteen grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sons and four daughters; James Edward Fillers, Janice Marie Fillers, Donald Eugene Fillers, Billy Joe Fillers, Laura Ann Fillers Maxwell, Carry Bell Fillers and Cathy Ann Fillers Brinson.
