TWEED, III, EVERETT “GENE” R.
Everett R. Tweed, III, 77, of Meggett, husband of Betty B. Tweed, died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Roper Hospital.
Family and friends are invited to attend his graveside service at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Cemetery, Hollywood on Tuesday at 11 o’clock. A visitation will be held this evening at the funeral home from 6 to 8 o’clock.
Mr. Tweed was born December 23, 1931 in Asheville, NC son of the late Everett R. Tweed, Jr. and Sarah E. Warner Tweed. He retired from Westvaco, Chemical Division after thirty eight years of service. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Meggett.

Survivors include his wife Betty of 57 years, two sons; Jeffrey A. Tweed of Adams Run and Charles G. Tweed of Charleston, one grandson; Jeffrey A. Tweed, Jr. (Shana) of Hollywood, three great grandchildren; Tristen, Amelia and Baxton Tweed, and one brother; Warner Tweed (Dora) of Horseshoe Bay, TX. He was predeceased by a daughter; Alicia M. Tweed.
